The FDA has now approved a new vaccine for people allergic to eggs.
The vaccine is made without eggs or any strains of the influenza virus. The agency says it was created using DNA technology and an insect virus.
They say this vaccine could be manufactured quickly in the event of a flu pandemic. It is approved for use in adults 18 to 49.
