Wires down after driver falls asleep at wheel, hits utility pole

A driver falling asleep at the wheel was behind an accident on Central Avenue Sunday morning.

Around 9a.m., a woman was traveling westbound on Central, when she fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle. She ran into a light pole and utility pole causing downed wires.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

    One woman is in the hospital after an early morning fire. The fire started at a duplex on Vance street. Investigators say the home might need to be demolished. When crews arrived on the scene flames were shooting from the roof. The cause is still under investigation.
