Weather Wreaks Havoc On Area Roads

Not a good to be outside, especially if you have to be out on the roads.

In fact, the conditions were so horrible along Interstate 90, the state shut the westbound lanes at around 8:30 p.m..
I-90 westbound closed from the New York State Line to Exit 41 (North East, SR 89). The highway REOPENED around 10:00 Monday night.
The bad conditions made for slow-moving traffic and lots of accidents.
State police tonight responded to call after call, of vehicles sliding off the roadway along
Interstate 90.
There were so many accidents traffic was backed up for miles, from Harborcreek into New York state.
A tanker truck slid off the road near Harborcreek, contributing to the traffic backups.
