As of Tuesday night, the public and taxpayers in Millcreek Township are still in the dark about what exactly is going on in the school district.
Superintendent of the past four years, Michael Golde, is on administrative leave, and the school board is refusing to comment. And now, there is still no word on who is in charge of the district.
The seat where Golde usually sits at the school board meetings, was empty Tuesday night when the board met for committee meetings. Golde was placed on administrative leave on January 18th. When asked why Golde is on administrative leave, district solicitor, attorney Tim Sennett, said it was for "personal reasons."
Sennett and other board members wouldn't comment on if this leave permanent, or if its paid.
The board, as of Tuesday night, has taken no formal action on his leave. They did hold an executive session after their normal committee meetings, though. Still, no word on it assistant superintendent, William Hall, will become the acting superintendent in Golde's absence.
