Fire Causes Minor Damage to Building on City's East Side

Fire crews quickly put out a fire on the city's east side this afternoon.

It happened just before noon at a large brick building on E. 16th Street near French and Holland Streets.  The Erie Fire Inspector says workers were using torches to take apart some machinery in the building when some grease caught fire.  The fire caused only minor damage, and no one was hurt.
