Community Blood Bank in Need of Donors

The Community Blood Bank is still in need of donors.

A blood shortage started last week, the first in over a year.  It's being blamed on heavier than expected demand, and fewer donors because of the holiday's, the flu, and now the weather.  The blood bank is urging people to come and give blood before the weekend, if possible.

The Community Blood Bank is located at 26th and Peach and is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 12:30 pm.  No appointment is needed.
