The cold weather caused some problems for firefighters Wednesday night. Crews were called out to a building near the corner of Elm and Peck streets around 7:30 p.m.
Firefighters tell us the cold weather caused a delay getting water to the ladder truck, but that did not impact their ability to fight the fire.
We're told the flames were so intense crews decided to battle the blaze defensively, and let it burn out on its own.
The fire also brought down nearby power lines.
The cause is still under investigation.
