‘Cleaning Fairy’ busted for snow shoveling

Posted: Updated:

An Ohio woman known as "The Cleaning Fairy" was arrested this week for shoveling someone's driveway without their permission.

For 53-year-old Susan Warren, this isn't the first time she's been booked for cleaning someone else's property.

The Elydia, Ohio, resident pleaded guilty in November 2012 to home burglary after breaking into a home, cleaning it and leaving a $75 bill for the homeowner on a napkin.

On Tuesday, police found her on Brandtson Avenue shoveling snow from a driveway. The homeowners had called police, saying she was shoveling without consent.

"We arrested her because she had a warrant out of Cuyahoga County. She was wanted for probation violation," Lorain County Correction Officer Anthony Conrod said.

Warren broke her probation, and police say they found nearly $1,000 in cash on her when she was arrested.

Elyria Police Lt. Chris Costantino told The Chronicle Telegram her snow shoveling must have been "pretty lucrative."
