You probably remember reading the "Arthur" books, or maybe you read them to your kids.
Marc Brown, author of the popular book and TV series which features a friendly aardvark, was in Erie today.
He stopped by R.B. Wiley Charter School to talk to students and create a one of a kind drawing with their help.
Brown signed copies of his book for every kid, and teachers too.
He said he makes an effort to travel to schools to inspire the next generation of writers.
"I think it's important for kids to know that this is a job option for them, writing books illustrating books, making television shows," Brown said. "I like to get kids excited about writing and reading."
While he's in town, Brown will also speak at Gannon University Friday night.
