Crews for Erie Water Works still searching as of Thursday night for the leak that's causing thousands of customers to have little or no water.
Customers say they know crews are doing what they can, but they're hoping their water can return sooner rather than later. And after two days, they're making do with what the little water they have.
Sue Amendola said she has had no water since Wednesday night. She's stocked up on bottled water, and is even using melted snow to help fill toilets so they flush. She also says she's been using her daughter Wendy's house to shower.
Wendy Rogers said she finally had some water late this morning and has filled up a five gallon water jug, to save in case her water again goes out.
Both Amendola and Rogers say the lack of water is making it difficult doing their everyday routines.
"Its just been a little difficult, but with bottled water, it makes it a little easier," said Amendola. "The Bathroom of course, is a problem. Neighbors are getting buckets of snow, thank heavens for the snow I guess."
"Dishes aren't getting done, laundries not getting done, I'm not anxious about getting caught up on that," said Rogers. "But we have enough water for the necessities."
Amendola and Rogers say they know crews are working as hard as they can to fix the problem. They're just hoping to be back to normal sooner rather than later.
