Local man starts “Neighbors Helping Neighbors”

Posted: Updated:

One man in Williams County is working to bring his community together. Lowell Hamrick has created the group "Neighbors Helping Neighbors."

He says he launched the effort Monday, and the group already has 70 members online. His goal is for residents to volunteer to help others with physical needs and for those who are helped to pay it forward.

Hamrick says his mission is personal.

"The ultimate goal is to try to help the communities, each person giving back to another person," he says. "My community has helped me, and this is one way I can try to give back"
