It was a major moment in
sports history: the "Miracle on Ice," when the US Olympic hockey team beat the
favored Soviets 4 to 3 in the 1980 Winter Games.
Now some memorabilia
from that historic matchup is headed to the auction block.
Among the items is the
jersey and hockey stick belonging to Team USA captain and former Toledo
Goaldigger Mike Eruzione.
The jersey is expected
to fetch more than $1 million. The auction is set for February 23, the day
after the 33rd anniversary of the game.
