The lack of running water over the past two days caused some issues for a few customers when their water was restored on Friday.
Dwayne Gross, a supervisor at H Jack's Plumbing and Heating, said their crews received a few calls from customers who were concerned with what they say when their water was back on. But, he said it wasn't only the lack of water that caused some issues with pipes for customers on Friday.
"We had a few service calls for that from the rust moving and the dirt moving, and plugging up some drain lines," said Gross. "And with the power outages last night, there's also a couple problems because without power, your furnace doesn't work and things freeze up."
Gross said to help prevent your pipes from freezing up this winter, its important to keep the area near them warm. He also said to make sure to clear the snow off your vents to help keep furnace running properly.
