It was Super Saturday at the United Way this weekend.
The organization is celebrating it by offering free tax services. Volunteers spent the day helping lower- income filers prepare their taxes.
Anyone in a household which earns less than $51,000 a year is eligible for the free service, and from February 5th to April 15th, 21 locations across the county will be open.
One benefit, is to help families claim the earned income tax credit. Program Director Cheryl Bates said that credit can get some families up to $5,900.
