Local Club Benefits Charities

Some local charities received a financial boost from the Nuova Aurora Society.

The club handed out checks of $3,000 to nine organizations.

Among the recipients were the Shriners, SafeNet, and the Sisters of Saint Joseph Neighborhood Network.

The club wanted to benefit smaller organizations who had greater need.

The funds came from money generated by games of chance at the club.
