Woman & Child Attacked by Rottweiler n West Erie

Posted: Updated:

A woman and her son are recovering, after they were attacked by a dog wearing a shirt.

It happened around 5:00 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of West 17th street.  According to police,  the mother and her three year old son were outside, when a Rottweiler chased them into their apartment.

Police say the dog bit the woman and the boy several times before they could get away from it.  A man attempted to subdue the dog, and police were called to the scene.  They eventually got the dog in the back of a police car.

Erie police say it belongs to a neighbor.  No word on any charges.
