Kids in the Erie School District were celebrating the Perry 200 on Sunday at the BayHawks game.
Fourth and fifth graders from JoAnna Connell Elementary School kept the crowd entertained during half time with their re-enactment of the building of Perry's Great Lakes Fleet.
The students took on different roles and practiced throughout the week, to share this important piece of Erie history with those at the game.
"I guess its pretty important that we remember it and stuff because its old," said fifth grader Cassie Ellsworth. "I think Erie's probably the best place to do it because we have the Brig Niagara just at out library."
The Perry 200 celebrations will be continuing throughout the year.
