Pearce, Hobson Both Return to the Walleye Froese heads back to Rockford; Spratt released

TOLEDO - The NHL's Detroit Red Wings have assigned goaltender Jordan Pearce to the Walleye from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. Forward Adam Hobson has been released from his PTO with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL and the Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned forward Byron Froese to Rockford. Both are expected to be with Toledo today against Evansville. The Toledo Walleye have released goaltender Jimmy Spratt.

Pearce leads the Walleye with 11 wins on the season. The Anchorage, Alaska native is the Walleye all-time leader in appearances with (67) and shutouts (5). Hobson appeared in two games with the IceHogs and did not collect a point. The Mission, BC native has 4 goals and 6 assists in 16 games this season with the Walleye.

Froese has not appeared in a game since suffering an injury on November 30 against Kalamazoo. Spratt was signed on Thursday this past week and did not appear in a game for Toledo.
