Millcreek school directors meet Monday for the first public board meeting since Superintendent Michael Golde went on administrative leave. As we've been reporting, Golde, who came to the district in 2009, stepped away from the job, effective January 18. District officials have declined to disclose the reason or say how long the leave will last, calling it a personnel matter.
The Millcreek School District's labor attorney, Rich Perhacs, has confirmed to WICU/WSEE that Superintendent Golde is still drawing his $165 thousand dollar a year salary, but would not comment further.
For now, Assistant Superintendent William Hall is in charge. The full board has not taken any formal action on the leave. We may learn more at Monday's meeting on whether the leave is temporary or permanent. The School Board Meets Monday at 7:00 PM at the district's administration building.
