Investigators have released new information, as they search for four suspects wanted for an armed robbery at a local PA Wines and Spirits Store.
The robbery happened at the Perry Plaza location at about 8:30 PM Friday. Because it's state property, PA State Police are involved in the probe. State police investigators say they are looking for four light skinned black men in their late teens to early 20's. Two of them were armed with knives.
Police now say that the group of robbers assaulted both the male and female clerk in the store, punching them with their fists, while demanding cash. After the robbery they ran off. All four suspects were wearing baggy clothes, with hooded sweatshirts cinched up around their faces.
Investigators have reviewed surveillance video. They plan to release photographs of the suspects soon, to help identify the suspects. If you have information on the crime, contact PA State Police at 898-1641 or Erie Police at 870-1120.
