WSEE has now joined WICU with the only live, fully HD newscasts in the Erie market.
The transition was made Monday morning when both 12 News Today and SEE News broadcast simultaneously live in HD during the 6:00 am broadcasts.
The move was made possible with the completion of a second, fully HD studio control room that now allows for two different programs to be recorded or broadcast live at the same time.
These new HD studios and control rooms will support not only the news and community affairs programming for WICU and WSEE but also the company's One Caribbean Television products which are recorded at the State Street studios.
"The move to two live, independent HD studios represents a significant investment in our community," WICU/WSEE General Manager Pam Forsyth said. "One that will help protect jobs and provide the greatest service to our viewers."
