The city of Toledo is hosting a community open house on Tuesday to discuss new development in the neighborhoods surrounding Phillips/Central/Willys Parkway and I-75. Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting and hear about a study that shows the impact on city streets.
The open house is Tuesday, January 29 from 4pm to 7:15 at Rosa Parks Elementary School.
The study will showcase traffic patterns and how streets in the area of Willys Parkway, Haverhill, Phillips, Manhattan, Blanchard, Cottage and Central bordered by I-75 will be impacted.
Formal presentations about the overall scope of the street study will be given at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The city of Toledo says the feedback collected through the open house will be used to develop alternatives, including an evaluation of the I-75 and Overland Industrial Park changes and the impacts on travel patterns and traffic volumes. Two additional meetings will be held in the coming months as the study refines various options and the team prepares recommendations for improvements.
