Albion Stabbing Incident Leads to Suspected Meth Operation

Posted: Updated:

A domestic stabbing incident in Albion Boro over the weekend, uncovered a suspected meth lab operation.  Albion Boro Police were first called to a duplex at 10 South Water Street early Sunday for a domestic assault.  The caller was a woman.  Police found her in the driveway bleeding from a minor stab wound.

The investigation landed 31 year old Dustin Hill, of that address, in jail on charges of assault and domestic violence and sent a Conneaut, Ohio man, John Dickey to the hospital with multiple stab wounds.

Albion Chief, Dan Ries says a search of the garage and basement followed, with the Attorney General and State Police clandestine lab response teams assisting. They seized items suspected in a "one pot" meth making lab in the basement, and other suspected meth making materials in the attached garage. Those are being analyzed at the lab.

Chief Reis says charges additional charges for the stabbing and the suspected drug operation are pending. Bond on the initial charges is set at $5,000.
