The Erie School District is now searching for replacements for both of it's assistant superintendents. But the jobs will become more specialized.
The current assistant superintendents Walt Strosser and Charlise Moore will both retire at the end of June.
They primarily supervise schools. But the district now wants one of the new administrators to focus on academics, the other on finance and operations. And the superintendent will ask community and business groups to help in the selection process.
Superintendent Dr. Jay Badams said, "These two individuals will have a lot of responsibility, not just to students and employees of the organization, but to the broader community. So involving the community in the selection process, I think is a good move."
The district is advertising locally and nationally, hoping to fill the jobs in May. The annual salary for each position will be between $120,000-$140,000.
