Millcreek's Jordyn Colao, the reigning Miss Pennsylvania returned to her state duties since going to Las Vegas to compete for the Miss America crown.
She didn't win but says she earned both memories and new fans.
Colao was greeted back to the area by Representative Ryan Bizzarro and other local political leaders, who presented her with a citation from the House of Representatives for her role in representing the state to the nation.
"Jordyn is absolutely deserving of this citation she represented this community well and she's represented the State of Pennsylvania well," Representative Bizzarro said after the presentation.
For her part Jordyn says she wants to work hard in her last five months in office, volunteering for the American Heart Association and visiting hospitals that support the Children's Miracle Network.
State Senator Sean Wiley is expected to present Jordyn with a Senate citation when she visits Harrisburg February 11th.
