Some Mcdowell High School students are making a big statement about the growing problem of human trafficking. Students in a club called "Exposure," created a wall in one of the school hallways, containing facts and information about the problem.
The students did their homework and found some surprising statistics, especially that the problem is not far away. "The U.S. Is the second highest destination for trafficked women, which people would never ever think that and it grabbed out attention and broke our hearts and we knew we wanted to do a project for it this year," said club leader Tori Pursell.
The students are selling bracelets and tee shirts they designed, to raise money for "Free International," a non-profit organization which builds safe houses, for exploited people.
