Cancer patients and their families are getting a chance to learn more about the disease, and how it affects their lives.
The Regional Cancer Center hosted the first of several cancer educational seminars.
It's an awareness program.
It allows patients and others in the community, to learn more about cancer, and what to do financially, if you're diagnosed.
"There are people out there offering free information, and if they have the need to talk to somebody to make sure that all their affairs are in order, we're available at the cancer center to help direct them in that direction." Said Peter Filocamo, with the Cancer Center.
The cancer center had doctors on hand, along with financial experts.
If you missed Wednesday night's seminar, the next seminars are February 28th at 4:30 PM, and March 27th, also at 4:30.
