
Talks aimed at heading off a possible faculty strike at Edinboro and the other state-owned universities are continuing. The negotiations began at 10 am and were still going on late Friday afternoon.
The faculty and the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education have failed to come up with a new contract, despite 2 years of talks. The key stumbling block remains health care costs.
The union has authorized a strike, if no deal can be worked out.
