Snow Plows hit the roads to keep drivers safe

Posted: Updated:

Northwest, OHIO - WTVG - If you're out on the roads chances are you'll see the plows.

The Ohio Department of Transportation has crews on 12 hour shifts, working to keep you safe.

They've been on standby since Friday night and they are now plowing through what's on the ground.

An ODOT spokesperson says salt trucks sprayed brine on the road to pre-treat the surfaces before the snow starting falling.

Now, they are in full snow storm mode clearing all of those interstates and state routes.
