Saturday's winter weather proved difficult for drivers.
Stella Barnett was driving down Laskey near Jackman around 10:30 Saturday morning when she says someone pulled out in front of her. Slick roads made it difficult to stop.
"My car started spinning and I tried to avoid it. The car got out of control and I flipped over." Barnett said.
Coincidentally, she had just come from a visit with her auto insurance company. She escaped injury.
"I was hoping that I got out safe. People pulled me out. My son helped me get out of the car." She said.
Across town, those involved in an accident on Angola Road near Wenz were not as lucky.
Dwandee Doss heard the crash. "I was in the kitchen eating breakfast. Then I heard a big bang. Sounded like it was in back on my house."
Police say the driver lost control and crashed into a mailbox, then a fire hydrant and came to a stop inches from a porch.
Rob Stuart says his house had a close call. "My wife ran out, thought something hit our house. Thankfully, it was just a mailbox and everybody's okay. So it worked out. But it sounded like someone was shooting a shotgun off, it was so loud."
TPD says the two women inside of the car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
