One Dead In Early Morning Crash

One individual is dead, after a pedestrian was struck by a Semi Truck.

It happened just before 1:30 AM at the intersection of Route 8 and Route 89 in Wattsburg. Police say Kathleen Loper was traveling north in the south bound lane when she was struck. She was taken to UPMC Hamot where she was pronounced dead.

Police had roads in the area shut down in both directions. Roads were expected to open at 9 AM Sunday morning.
