Mom and kids escape burning home

SANDUSKY, Ohio -

A Sandusky mother and her two children escaped their burning home early Sunday morning.

Fire broke out just after midnight at the Townsend street home. Firefighters battled heavy smoke and the property was heavily damaged.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire.
