The snow makers did not have to be on this weekend at Mount Pleasant of Edinboro. Mother nature gave us plenty of real snow for winter enthusiasts to enjoy.
"Its wonderful," said Mount Pleasant Employee Zack Benedict. "Everyday you can wake up and say, 'its snowing,' its a joyous sight."
"Its wonderful," said Michelle Pifer of Edinboro. "It actually enhances the whole ski experience, when you have nice, fresh, packed powder snow, and its a chilling feeling through your bones."
After the warm weather and rain we've had last week, this real snow was a winter welcome to those at Mount Pleasant.
"Its a relief," said Inside Manager at Mount Pleasant Laura Slezak. "A lot of tired people ran around getting snow made, snow pushed, getting us all covered back up again. So a lot of tired people around here."
Tired, but excited. This season, employees say they have been making so much snow, that they came close to running out of water. Thankfully, this weekend felt more like a typical February.
"Its kind of like back to normal," said Slezak. "Its not often that you don't have snow or it melts down in the middle of January, February. It just feels normal."
As long as Mother Nature cooperates, you'll be able to hit the slopes all the way until the middle of next month.
