TOLEDO, Ohio -
Super Sunday brings lots of football fans out to local bars and restaurants. Jennifer Hurst, who manages Paddy Jack's in Toledo, says it's a big help in a tight economy.
"Definitely when there's big games and big events, we look for a huge crowd to just bring in a lot more revenue for us."
She says the prepare for special nights by making sure they are well-staffed.
"We have a couple extra bartenders, a couple extra servers and we let the servers dress up and wear a fun jersey."
They also up their advertising and add food and drink specials.
According to server Adrienne Maldonado, it pays off. "We make a lot of money here. It's very fun when we have special events and game nights."
Super Bow Sunday is the second-biggest food consumption day in the United States. It ranks right behind Thanksgiving.
