US 24 in Paulding County was reopened late Wednesday night after being shut down for 36 hours following a fatal crash Tuesday morning.
Investigators say fog likely contributed to the crash that happened around 8:00 a.m. along US 24 and County Road 87.
State troopers say at least ten tractor-trailers and two passenger cars were involved. We're told it all started when a pickup failed to yield at a stop sign and crashed into a semi.
Investigators say the other semis were unable to avoid the crash, leading to a chain reaction of collisions.
Troopers say visibility was down to about 100 feet. Ten people were hurt, but all are expected to be okay.
One tanker spilled ethanol, but the spill has been contained.
