A restaurant in Springfield Township has racked up more than a dozen violations.
A recent inspection of Hibachi Supreme Buffet located at 1550 Spring Meadows Drive shows the restaurant had improper cooler temperatures for pudding, melon and noodles. In addition, raw food was stored over ready-to-eat food.
The new head of the Food Safety Division at the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department says he's here to educate those who prepare your meals so violations such as those get fixed.
"It's not about going in there and saying, you know, 'you must wash your hands because it's in the rules.' You're doing it because it's obviously a food safety issue," says Jerry Bingham. "You want to remove the bacteria from your hands so you don't contaminate food."
