SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio -
Today, meteorologist Geoff Cornish had a chance to speak with two groups of students about the weather.
At 10 o'clock, he visited a group of pre schoolers at Kidz Watch in Sylvania Township.
He read "What's the Weather", and talked with the children about what meteorologists do.
At midday, he spoke to all of the 7th grade classes at the Northwood High School.
These students have been learning about the weather in their science classes, and Geoff talked about things like barometric pressure, types of precipitation, high pressure and low pressure systems, and severe weather safety.
He also showed the students some weather maps to illustrate how a meteorologist forecasts the weather, from satellite and radar to surface maps to computer models.
