TOLEDO, Ohio -
Two storm systems will ride two different jet streams before colliding in the northeast on Friday. The collision will lead to a powerful nor' easter producing blizzard conditions.
The latest storm track takes the worst snowfall northeast of New York city into Boston, MA and Portland, ME. The highest snow totals may end up in the 2-3 feet range with winds gusts around 60 mph.
Some winds gusts will be even higher around Cape Cod, MA and Mt. Washington, NH where top wind speeds will reach or top hurricane force by the early morning hours on Saturday.
The storm is likely to cause a travel nightmare that will trickle down across many large airports in the country, even away from the storm zone.
