Erie, PA - Cathedral Prep High School will be presented with the Army National Guard national ranking trophy as part of the eighth annual MaxPreps Football Tour of Champions.
Cathedral Prep finished No. 41 in the final rankings and is one of 50 schools being honored on this season's tour. The presentation will be made Friday afternoon at a pep rally at the school.
Cathedral Prep (15-0), which completed an unbeaten season for the fifth time, defeated Archbishop Wood of Warminster, 24-14, on Dec. 14 to capture the Pennsylvania AAA state title.
The Ramblers have one other state crown, which came back in 2000 when they were 14-0. Cathedral Prep is one of 50 schools being honored on the eighth annual MaxPreps Tour of Champions presented by the Army National Guard.
MaxPreps ranks more than 16,000 varsity high school football teams.
