In the January 2013 issue of the Association of Cancer Executives’ (ACE) quarterly newsletter, Improving the Patient Experience and the Bottom Line, an article written by Carol Santalucia, vice president, CHAMPS Patient Experience, was featured on the front page.

“Providing a positive experience for patients is not necessarily something that needs to be justified,” Santalucia said. “Most people would probably agree that providing a positive experience for patients is a good idea and one that makes sense intuitively. But it also makes sense for a lot of other, more concrete reasons like improved care for patients, increased patient loyalty and a better financial position for healthcare organizations.”
