After launching their new website in January, 2013, responsehomesecurity.com just launched their local pages on the website in early February, 2013. “Home security isn’t something that people just go online and order, regardless of where the product is currently located at. We believe that home security must be local, for better service and more prompt response, in case of any emergency,” said one professional from Response.

Responsehomsecurity.com is designed to help people understand their home security systems better and gain knowledge on the newest home automation possibilities for their homes. The Response team has recently published all their knowledgebase on the website, including information on alarm systems, home automation, etc. The newly published local pages are mostly city targeted pages that are grouped into 5 big regions: Southwest, Southeast, Midwest, Northeast, and Northwest. Users can get to all 5 regions through the Locations tab on the navigation bar.

“Many websites launch their local pages solely for the sake of marketing, and they forget to pay attention to usability of the website. We want to make sure that by launching these local pages, we are making navigation easier for the users. As said earlier, home security must be local. We are making that concept real even through many details when designing and developing the site. For example, one small feature that we added in the website is that when a user comes onto the Response Home Security website through a local page, if he is interested in the “Equipment” tab on the navigation bar, and gets on that page for a while, from there, if he clicks on “Home”, the site will still direct him to the local page where he came on. This is extremely helpful if someone is specifically interested in home security in a specific city or region, but he also wants to get some overall information on alarm systems or monitoring services, etc. The feature we added on our site enables users to navigate between two sorts of information very easily,” said one developer for Response.

“We are still in the process of launching our local pages. It’s a lot of work. We eventually want to launch 500 local pages with specific information for each page,” said a Response professional.
