Police in Sylvania Township are warning parents and students to look out for a suspicious person.
They received another report of a strange man approaching a child Friday morning. This would have been the third incident in the past two weeks, but Sylvania Township Police say this latest case was a false report.
Earlier this week, Sylvania schools sent another email to parents alerting them after an incident filed Wednesday. That police report states a 12-year-old girl was dropped off at Roberts Road near Alexis Road. The victim's mother says her daughter had a back pack that has sequins on it. The student says a white male driving a white van pulled up next to her and said "hey sparkles, how are you doing?" The girl ran home.
On Friday, January 25th police say a man tried to lure a young boy into a van along Erie Street near Maplewood Avenue.
Police are taking extra trips around neighborhoods and schools and encourage parents to review stranger danger safety rules with your children.
Officials are looking for a white male in his 40's. He has gray hair and is balding. Police say he's driving a white panel van with a ladder rack on top. Call police if you have any information.
