The financially troubled Community Country Day School has a new set of wheels. Bonnell's Collision is donating a 2004 Ford van to the school.
But the donation came with a twist. The van needed a lot of work. So students from the school, working with Bonnell employees did body work, minor repairs, and gave the van a whole new paint job.
The van will be used to transport school employees and students.
Scott Bonnell said, "I just heard the school was in financial difficulty and just felt a need to do something to help them out. We came up with the idea of getting an old van and fixing it up and donating it to the school."
Now Bonnell's is also sponsoring a fundraising dinner for the school. It will be March 16 at the Ambassador Center. Tickets are $100 each. For information call Noel Kriess at 814-969-6704.
