Grocery shoppers had the chance to learn more about heart health on Saturday afternoon.
The Wegmans on Peach Street was full of health professionals from UPMC Hamot. It was part of the seventh annual "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" event.
That's an event put on every year to promote healthy eating and living to maintain a healthy heart.
All around Wegmans, were booths with free tests, allowing people to see if they are at an increased risk for heart disease. There were also food booths, to show people some heart healthy recipes.
Organizers say the event reaches out to a broad audience every year, including people who may usually not have the opportunity to visit the doctor.
