12th "Spirit Against Cancer" Competition

There was plenty to cheer about on Saturday at the 12th annual "Spirit Against Cancer" dance and cheer competition at Penn State Behrend.

The event is hosted by Penn State Behrend's Athletic Department, and honors the memory of dance coach Becky Hubler Decker - who lost her battle with cancer.

It brings together cheerleading teams of all ages to raise funds to fight cancer. This year, over 50 teams joined in.

One of the new teams this year is the Millcreek Cheer and Dance Special Needs Team. Organizers expected to raise 7 thousand dollars - all to benefit the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation.
