13abc has learned that there were actually two separate fights at Scott High School Friday night. Toledo Public Schools officers are still trying to identify the two girls seen fighting on 13abc's video.
Toledo Public Schools officers are reviewing the video trying to sort out the incident. The school officers used mace to break up the crowd. The district does not have a use of force policy. According to a police report, the deputies warned the crowd to stop rioting or they would use mace.
13abc has learned the two students seen getting into a paddy wagon are not the students responsible for the fight at Scott High School's basketball game on Friday. One of the girls' mothers talked with 13abc.
"They were coming out trying to hurry up trying to get out of there that's when this altercation happened outside not in the inside. She was not the girls seen fighting on the camera," said Alice Williams.
Our camera was the only one rolling when the fight in the stands started. Toledo Public Schools leaders tell 13abc they are still trying to identify these two girls. Questions remain why the girls fighting in the gym, weren't arrested Friday night.
You can see a Lucas County sheriff deputy restrain one girl who appears to be involved in the fight. Then seconds later another sheriff deputy grabs a student in the pink shirt. The madness didn't end there. A Toledo public school officer pulls out his mace to break up the crowd. Then a sheriff deputy uses his mace.
The Lucas County sheriff told me he's reviewing the video to try and determine what happened. He says it appears his deputy's followed proper procedure.
