The Fortis Institute Erie campus has a new president. The company named Peter C. Correa to the post. Correa has been working in the career-based learning field for nearly two decades. He most recently served as president of American InterContinental University in Atlanta. Prior to that he was president of Colorado Technical University (CTU) in Kansas City, Mo. and served as campus director, dean of instruction and faculty member at CTU campuses in Denver and Sioux Falls, S.D.
in his new job at Fortis Institute in Erie, Correa will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure that students acquire the industry-current knowledge and skills needed to launch successful professional careers.
Before his education career, Correa had a military career. He graduated from the Military Academy at West Point and served in the U.S. Army for nearly three decades. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Correa was raised in Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering and leadership from the U.S. Military Academy and a master's degree in financial management from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
