Chautauqua County Machine Business Expanding

Posted: Updated:

Chautauqua County , NY - Rand Machine Products gets a check totaling $930,500 from the County Industrial Development Association through a tech loan to build phases II and III of their long term expansion project.

County Executive Greg Edwards commented " how great it is to see Phase I of Rand's long-term expansion plans being completed now. He said "The Ruhlman family has been a pleasure to work with throughout the process that has taken several years.  The last time we visited, there were simply footers in the ground connecting the two buildings on either side, and now we stand in this 10,000 square foot new building designed to support the Mori Seiki-NT-6000 CNC Mill/Turn Center and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).

The facility, with two new 10 ton cranes installed to support the CNC machine, will allow Rand to work on very large projects.  We look forward to seeing Phases II & III completed in the future," stated Edwards.

The CNC mill-turn center machine alone is 40-feet-long and 15-feet wide by 15-feet high.

Rand Machine Products, Inc. is a custom contract manufacturing service. They machine and assemble all types of products per customer drawings: railroad, pipeline couplings, defense work, mining industry, hospital / medical equipment, truck/trailer industry, decorative brass hardware and R&D work.

Rand Machine Products, Inc., is located at 2072 / 2088 Allen Street Ext, Falconer, NY (Town of Ellicott). They currently employ 104 full time employees.  This project will create 10 new jobs.

Their total project cost was over $4,600,000.00.  The CCIDA worked closely with Five Star Bank and the New York Business Development Council to put together the financing package.
