A North East couple is back home tonight after their dog competed at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City. Today, Wyatt, a 3 year old Norwich terrier was back at the office of Concord Plumbing and Heating. It's the business run by his owners Terri and Scott Nyari.
Wyatt is a veteran of many dog shows. And he has the ribbons to prove it. He didn't win best in show in New York. But he wasn't intimidated by the competition.
Teri Nyari said, "He did very well. He showed great for me. He's a seasoned dog. He owns the place."
The show was a big challenge for Teri who was also in the ring.
She said, "I was really nervous because you are up against the top handlers in the country. Not only the top dogs. They are professionals. That is what they do for a living, and I don't."
While Wyatt is relaxing for now, his break won't last long. He will be competing in upcoming shows in Detroit and Pittsburgh.
