Fire Destroys Millcreek Cottage

Police say they aren't ruling out arson as a possible cause of a cottage fire, in the 400 block of Peninsula drive.

It started around 9:15 Thursday night, in a vacant cottage in an area near Waldameer Park.

The area used to be for campers and cottages.

But, it has since been purchased and the residents have moved out.

There was heavy damage to the cottage, but thanks to quick work by firefighters, nothing else was touched.

Nobody was hurt, and the investigation into the cause is underway.
